Most people associate church with Sundays.
Sundays are special at St Paul's, but most of the
Church's life and activity happen during the week, either at the
Barnabas Centre, next to the Church, in people's homes
or informally through the lives of its members.
St Paul's is a
multi-purpose building. It is a "church" as
well as being a community resource. Through the week it
is used by a variety of groups and individuals - church
members and people from the wider community. Details of
regular activities are in the Church foyer. The hall is
also available for private bookings, subject to
availability (contact the vicar tel. 271 0859).
but it is also a place of quiet and prayer. In the Church centre, there is a Chapel set aside for
prayer. You are welcome to use this at any time. If you
find the Church closed, call at the Vicarage for the key

House Groups and Prayer Groups
As Christians we need each other. We are called to
encourage and support one another through the ups and
downs of life, and to learn with others how to put our
Christian faith into practice. "House groups"
are a way of enabling this. These small groups meet in
church members' homes at various times and days through
the week.
Prayer is important to us because we believe that God
answers the prayers of his people. Prayer is about being
open to God, and allowing him to help and guide us in our
daily lives. We want to encourage people to learn how to
pray. Several prayer groups meet through the week.

Alpha Course
At St Paul's we host several short "courses"
designed to help people find out what Christians believe
and how Christian faith can come alive. These are
relaxed, open groups aimed at addressing the questions
you may have. They are repeated. Please contact the Vicar if
you would like to receive details. (details)
